John Ramirez Receives Tina and David Bellet CAS Teaching Excellence Award
Dr. John Ramirez, a Senior Lecturer in the Computer Science Department, is one of four recipients of the Tina and David Bellet CAS Teaching Excellence Award. This award was established to acknowledge undergraduate teaching excellence in the College of Arts and Sciences. Selection for the Bellet Award is based upon many factors, including teaching philosophy, representative materials from undergraduate teaching settings, student teaching evaluations, and peer evaluations from other faculty. In addition to the honor of the award itself, Dr. Ramirez will receive a $2000 cash prize and a $3000 grant for further teaching development.
