Graduate Student Research Award Winners
The second annual CS Department graduate student research competition took place on Friday, April 5. This year's winners are:
- Mohamed A. Sharaf, "Efficient Dissemination of Enterprise Summary Data to Mobile Clients"
- Dakai Zhu, "Power Aware Scheduling for Multi-Processor Systems"
The department will continue the research awards for next year. Any Ph.D. student can compete for the award.
An award committee consisting of CS professors will review the submitted papers and select up to 3 finalists for the award. Each finalists will orally present his/her work in a 15 minute presentation to which all graduate students and faculty will be invited. The award committee will then select the winner.
