Spring Registration
Registration for the Spring term (03-2) is approaching, and you should be aware of how the registration process will work in the Computer Science Department. This year we are still having block advising, but we will attempt to pre-register most of our students so as to avoid the rush of appointments on the actual registration days. The procedure will work as follows:
- Students will come to a block advising session, meet briefly with an advisor, and fill out a registration form for the Spring Term.
- Advisors will keep the forms and pass them on to Matt Wolfson, who will enter them into the system on the appropriate day (Thursday, October 24 for Seniors, Monday October 28 for others).
- We will attempt to monitor course enrollments as students pre-register, however, we strongly recommend that you list at least one "second choice" option for your CS courses in case a course closes before your registration is processed. If there is a problem with your registration, Matt Wolfson will contact you by email - please make sure that Matt has your email address.
- We ask that you have a good idea of your course choices PRIOR to your block advising session. If you have detailed questions or concerns about your course selections or about your progress in general, please make an appointment to see Dr. Ramirez (ramirez@cs.pitt.edu) or Matthew Wolfson (wolfson@cs.pitt.edu, 412-624-8492) before your block advising session.
